I’ve been creative all my life. In 2019—already a few years into retirement—I found myself thinking about shuffleboard. It’s simple. It’s social. Put a beer in my non-shooting hand and let’s slide some pucks. A good friend of mine is seriously into golf. He’s pretty good. I’m… let’s say okay. That got me wondering: could you play golf and shuffleboard at the same time?

I started sketching ideas—literally on brown kraft paper—mapping out a concept, gameplay rules and a scorecard. Using a set of mini pucks, I slid them across that paper “playing top” and started testing the idea. Just like that, Shuffle Golf was born. The graphics, rules and scorecard haven’t changed much since Prototype #1.

I shared it with family & friends and they loved playing it. That’s when I knew this was more than just a fun idea—it had real business potential. I originally considered calling it Shuffle Golf, but as the concept evolved, I could envision a whole family of unique tabletop games. That led to the name Shuffle Games, giving the brand room to grow.

When I’m not SG’ing, I keep busy with the things I love: woodworking, fishing, golfing, watching college and NFL football, enjoying dark beers and dry red wines, spending time with my wife—and traveling. Lots of traveling.
